Oh no, here we go again. Kelly Scott is back with the same ol’ scam. Home Jobs Today (HJT) is another link-posting scam that is identical to previous “programs” that I’ve reviewed. This Home Jobs Today review will explain exactly why you should avoid this program at all costs.
To Begin With…
I knew this was a scam before I even began investigating it. The reason being, the people behind this “program” make it easy to spot. You see, HJT is incredibly similar to Kelly Scott’s other programs. Take a look at these photos:

Ultimate Home Profits was another “program” by the same people. Notice that all three of these programs are “#1.”
It’s not just the headers that are similar, the website content is nearly identical. I knew that HJT was a scam, because I’ve reviewed it before. The last time I reviewed it, it just happened to have a different name.
Why would the people behind these programs change nothing but the name?
People in my niche make a living by reviewing MMO (Make Money Online) programs. When we reveal a program to be a scam, it undermines the marketing efforts of the scam artists. People tend to search for reviews before they make a purchase. When there are a ton of negative reviews for a particular program, that program’s sales will dwindle.
These scam artists are so lazy that instead of creating a new program, they simply change the name of a program when it is revealed to be a scam. It’s a simple fix for them and it continues to work because they are specifically targeting beginners who wouldn’t be able to recognize a program as a previous scam.
Misleading Marketing Tactics
Another thing that all of these “programs” have in common is the shady marketing tactics used to promote them.
They are usually promoted by fake news sites (sites that appear to be legitimate but are far from it), but it seems these “news” sites are being taken down (as they are illegal). The new tactic (of the scammers) is to use sniper sites to fabricate fake reviews promoting the program.
What is a sniper site?
A sniper site is a website that utilizes a particular keyword, in this case “Home Jobs Today,” within the url (ex. www.homejobstoday.org). When a keyword is used in a url, that website will rank for that keyword easier than other sites.
By utilizing sniper sites, the scammers behind HJT hope to dominate the first page of the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). This will push the legitimate reviews out of the way and allow them to retain traffic.
Additional Shady Marketing Tactics:
- Use of fake testimonials.
- “Kelly Scott” or “Kelly Simmons,” as she is referred to in this program, doesn’t actually exist. Photos of her are taken from stock photography websites. There is a blurb about it in the earnings disclaimer. They claim that it is a fake name and fake photos for privacy reasons. However, it is usually the same fake name and same fake photos throughout the various incarnations of this “program.” If it worked as well as they claimed, why would “Kelly” feel a need for privacy? Wouldn’t she be proud of her system?
- False claims of success and images (like expensive cars and houses) that are meant to sell people on the dream of making money online without telling them what they will be doing. These images and claims are how the sniper sites are trying to get people to sign-up.
- They claim that there is a limited number of spots available for people to sign-up. This is meant to instill a sense urgency within people. The hope is, people will sign-up quickly without performing their due diligence.

What is link-posting?
Link-posting is the process of posting links in various blogs, social media sites, and forums. When a link is clicked, the person that posted it makes money.
Sounds simple right?
The truth is, link-posting was once a very lucrative way to make money online. Traffic, to a website, is the most valuable thing in the online world. Big companies were willing to pay people to post links leading to their content, because it brought them more traffic.
However, Google realized that people were just spamming their links everywhere. As a result of this, Google updated their algorithm so that excessive link-posting became detrimental to a website’s health. This was their way of combatting scam, and it worked!
Now, link-posting is nowhere near as profitable as it once was. Companies are not willing to pay large amounts for a service that could hurt their online presence, despite what HJT claims.
On top of this, link-posting is a lot more difficult than it sounds. Posting a link is easy, but most places have rules against posting links. If you post in the wrong area, your link can be removed and you can be banned from wherever you posted it. Also, if you are continuously linking to spam, you will lose the trust of any followers you may have.
Home Jobs Today’s Hidden Motive
Clearly, the people behind this program aren’t really interested in teaching anybody how to make money online.
So, what’s in it for them? Why do they keep recycling the same scam?
The ultimate goal of this “program” is to get people on the phone with a salesperson who will attempt to swindle you out of even more money.
When you register for the program, you have to provide your phone number. They tell you that they will be calling for a business consult. The truth is, this phone call is their opportunity to upsell you into oblivion.
I’ve heard of people losing thousands of dollars to these scams. They are incredibly convincing. DO NOT give your personal information to these people.
The Final Word…
Home Jobs Today is a scam. It’s a lazy scam at that. No experienced Internet marketer would ever fall for it, which means their sole intent is to scam beginners to the industry.
This angers me more than anything else!
I was once a beginner, and I fell for quite a few scams before I found a legitimate program. The difference between myself and most people that are scammed, is the fact that I never gave up.
I kept looking for that needle in a haystack. I couldn’t break into this industry by myself. I needed to find support and education in order to learn how to monetize my interests. Fortunately, I found a program that worked for me. Now, utilizing what I learned, I make a full-time income from the comfort of my pajamas.
The reason that programs like HJT anger me so much is the fact that they prey on people that are looking to better their own lives. These beginners are bound to give up and never realize their dream of making money online.
